Frequently Asked Questions
Is this bundle better for regular cleaning or quick clean-ups?
It covers both. The Scuba S1 Pro is for regular robotic cleaning across the floor, walls, and waterline, while the Pilot X1 is for quick handheld clean-ups on steps, shallow ledges, spas, hot tubs, corners, and smaller debris patches between full robotic cycles.
When would I use the Pilot X1 instead of the Scuba S1 Pro?
Use the Pilot X1 when you want direct control over a specific area, such as steps, ledges, platforms, corners, spas, or small debris patches. Its flexible swivelling vacuum head and telescopic pole make it useful for fast touch-ups without running a full robotic cycle.
Can I use the Pilot X1 in a spa or hot tub?
Yes. The Pilot X1 is suitable for spas, hot tubs, inflatable pools, above-ground pools, and inground pools. It can operate in shallow water from 0.2 m, making it useful for smaller spaces where a full robotic cleaning cycle may not be necessary.
Will the Scuba S1 Pro clean the whole pool?
The Scuba S1 Pro cleans the pool floor, walls, and waterline in inground pools. It uses WavePath 2.0 navigation, WaveLine 2.0 horizontal waterline cleaning, caterpillar treads, and up to 180 minutes of cordless runtime to support full-pool cleaning.
Can I control the Scuba S1 Pro from the Aiper App?
Yes. The Scuba S1 Pro can connect to the Aiper App while the cleaner is out of the water. The app allows you to check battery status, view cleaning history, select modes, and apply OTA firmware updates.
Can the Scuba S1 Pro help keep the pool clean between full cycles?
Yes. Eco Mode performs a 45-minute floor clean every 24–48 hours for one week, with three sessions in total. For best results, start Eco Mode with a full charge and avoid removing the cleaner or pressing buttons during standby.
Will this bundle pick up fine dust and sand?
Yes. The Scuba S1 Pro uses a 180 μm fine filter basket and 3 μm MicroMesh filter for larger debris and fine particles. The Pilot X1 adds two-stage handheld filtration, with a 360 μm filter for larger debris and a 100 μm ultra-fine filter for smaller particles such as fine sand and dust.
How long can each cleaner run?
The Scuba S1 Pro runs for up to 180 minutes and charges in about 4 hours. The Pilot X1 runs for up to 45 minutes and charges in about 2.5 hours.
Can I leave the pool pump running while the Scuba S1 Pro cleans?
No. For best results, turn off the pool pump while the Scuba S1 Pro is cleaning. Running the pump can affect the cleaner’s movement, suction, and navigation.
How often should I empty the filters?
Empty and rinse the Scuba S1 Pro’s 5 L top-load basket and MicroMesh filters after use, especially after heavy debris loads. For the Pilot X1, slide out the 1 L debris bin, rinse the filter components, and make sure the bin clicks securely back into place before use.
Why has the Scuba S1 Pro stopped early or lost suction?
Check whether the filter basket or MicroMesh filter is clogged, the inlet cover is blocked, or debris is caught around the roller brushes or impeller. Also make sure the cleaner is fully charged before starting a full cycle or Eco Mode.
Why does the Pilot X1 suction feel weak?
Check that the debris bin is fully clicked into place and that the filters are not clogged. Rinse the 360 μm and 100 μm filter layers thoroughly, then reinstall them before use. Low battery can also reduce cleaning performance, so recharge if needed.
How should I store the cleaners after use?
Rinse and dry both cleaners before storage. Keep the Scuba S1 Pro indoors or in a protected dry area when not in use. The Pilot X1 includes a wall-mount holder, making it easy to store neatly with the pole and accessories between quick clean-ups.
