Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use the iGarden K80 in a saltwater pool?
Yes. The iGarden K80 can be used in saltwater pools with salt levels up to 5000 ppm. For best long-term care, keep the pool water balanced, with pH between 7.0 and 7.8 and free chlorine no higher than 4 ppm.
Can I use it in an above-ground pool?
Yes, provided the pool is suitable for robotic cleaner use and the operating conditions are within the recommended range. The cleaner is suitable for water depths from 1 to 2.5 metres, with the K60 and K80 recommended for pools up to 6 x 12 metres.
Why is the app not connecting while the cleaner is in the pool?
App functions are unavailable while the robot is in the pool due to signal interference. Connect and set up the cleaner before placing it in the water. For setup, enable Bluetooth and WiFi on your phone, connect to a strong 2.4GHz WiFi network, and allow Bluetooth access when prompted by the iGarden Robotics app.
Should I clean the filter basket after every use?
Yes. Empty and rinse the filter basket after each cleaning cycle. A blocked or dirty basket can reduce suction, shorten runtime, and affect cleaning performance.
Why did the cleaner stop before the expected runtime?
Runtime can be affected by the selected cleaning mode, debris load, pool shape, water condition, climbing activity, and whether the filter basket becomes clogged. The cleaner also has built-in protection logic: below 30% battery it may continue in floor-cleaning mode only, and below 15% battery it will park and enter sleep mode.
Can I leave the cleaner in the pool between cleaning cycles?
Yes, when using the AI Timer, the cleaner can remain in the pool between scheduled 24hr, 48hr, or 72hr cleaning cycles. For normal manual use, or when scheduled cleaning is no longer needed, remove the cleaner from the pool, allow it to drain, clean the filter basket, and store it correctly.
What should I do before storing the cleaner for a longer period?
Switch the cleaner off using the bottom power switch, clean and dry the robot completely, empty and rinse the filter basket, and store it in a clean, dry place. If the cleaner will not be used for more than 14 days, keep the bottom power switch turned off. For battery care, fully recharge the cleaner every three months during storage. Recommended storage conditions are -10°C to 45°C with 30% to 70% relative humidity.
