Every Iluka routine begins with properly sanitised water. Iluka Purify is made for the control of algae and bacteria in spas and hot tubs, using stabilised chlorine to help keep the water clean, protected and ready to enjoy.
What makes Purify different is the addition of Borax. Alongside its sanitising role, Borax helps soften the feel of the water and supports pH stability, making spa care easier while giving the water a more enjoyable, luxurious feel.

How to Use
- Test the spa water with a reliable test kit to check free chlorine and pH levels.
- Calculate the required dose according to your spa volume and test result.
- Add Iluka Purify to the spa water as required to maintain the correct free chlorine level.
- Allow the water to circulate so the sanitiser can distribute evenly.
- Re-test regularly and adjust as needed to maintain the required sanitiser level.
Dosage & Coverage
- Standard Dose: Add 6g per 1,000 litres of spa water
- Frequency: Check sanitiser levels daily or after each use, and add Iluka Purify as required
Important Usage Information
- Dosages are intended as a guide. Always follow the dosage instructions on the product label.
- Maintain free chlorine at a minimum of 2mg/L in cold water, or 3mg/L where water temperature is greater than 26°C.
- Do not exceed 50mg/L of isocyanurate.
- Do not use this product in indoor pools or commercial spa installations.
- Always add chemicals to water, never water to chemicals.
As part of regular spa care, pH should be maintained between 7.2–7.6 and Total Alkalinity between 125ppm–150ppm.

How is Purify different from Eliminate?
Purify maintains the sanitiser level in the water. Eliminate is a chlorine-free shock treatment used to oxidise contaminants, reduce combined chlorine and help restore sparkle. They perform different roles in the Iluka routine.
Why does Purify contain Borax?
Borax helps soften the feel of spa water and supports pH stability. This gives Purify a comfort and maintenance benefit beyond standard sanitising.
When should I add Purify?
Check the sanitiser level daily or after each use, then add Purify as required. The amount needed depends on your spa volume, water temperature, test result and recent spa use.
Can Purify be used in swim spas?
Yes. Purify is suitable for spas, hot tubs and swim spas. Always dose according to the water volume and test results.
