Why won’t my Telsa 50 power on when submerged?
Ensure the cleaner is fully immersed past the power switch so the magnetic sensor can activate. Check that the filter cone and canister are locked in correctly. If the issue continues, clean the charging contact plates and try a full recharge. If the behaviour persists, please get in touch for assistance.
Why does the vacuum stop shortly after starting or the runtime is shorter than expected?
A partially charged battery, a blocked impeller, or a full filter cone can cause the unit to stop early. Clean the filter thoroughly and check the impeller area for obstructions. If runtime continues to decline over time, the battery may have reached the end of its lifespan. For parts support, visit Kokido spare parts.
Why is suction weak or debris not being picked up?
Clean the filter cone and check that the suction head and brushes are fitted correctly. Inspect the impeller opening for any debris with the unit switched off. A clean filter greatly improves suction; you can also maintain filters with a dedicated cleaner such as the Madimack Robotic Filter Cleaner (500ml).
Why is debris escaping back into the pool after vacuuming?
A damaged filter cone, broken suction nozzle flap, or loose outlet valve can allow debris to escape. Inspect these components and replace any damaged parts via Kokido spare parts.
Why doesn’t the unit move smoothly across the pool floor or walls?
Wheels or brushes may be obstructed by debris. Rinse the wheels, pivoting head, and brushes to restore smooth movement.
What should I do if the impeller is jammed?
Switch the unit off, remove it from the water, and carefully remove any debris blocking the impeller area. Do not insert fingers. If the impeller is damaged, arrange servicing or replacement through Kokido spare parts.
Why can’t I secure the handle or telescopic pole, or why does it feel loose?
Check the side pins on the handle or pole connector. If any pin is broken or worn, replace the affected part via our Kokido spare parts page.
Why won’t the Telsa 50 charge, or why does the charger light stay red or not turn on?
Dry the contact plates, ensure the charging base is properly connected, and check the adaptor indoors. If the adaptor fails to light up or the cleaner does not charge, the adaptor or battery may require evaluation. For further support, contact us.
Can I use it safely on vinyl-liner or fibreglass surfaces?
Yes, provided that the brushes remain installed on the suction head. Avoid applying excessive downward pressure.
What water level is required, and why might the vacuum activate when the switch is OFF?
The water must cover the switch area to activate the magnetic sensor. If the unit switches on unexpectedly while set to OFF, it may be near magnetic objects. Move the vacuum away from any such items.
Can I use the vacuum while people or pets are in the pool?
No. For safety, the cleaner must only operate in an empty pool or spa.
How and how often should I empty and clean the filter cone?
Empty the filter before and after each session. Rinse the mesh gently and avoid pressing on the net. A damaged filter cone should be replaced immediately using genuine Kokido parts. For deeper filter maintenance, a spray cleaner can help remove oils and buildup, e.g. Madimack Robotic Filter Cleaner (500ml).
Can I use the vacuum right after adding chemicals or shocking the pool?
No. Wait 24–48 hours after shocking or adding concentrated chemicals before using the cleaner.
How should I drain, dry, and store the vacuum after use or for long-term storage?
Rinse with fresh water, drain all chambers, and dry the contact plates. Store the unit indoors, away from heat and pool chemicals. For long-term storage, charge the battery to a partial level and recharge every few months.
Can the built-in battery be replaced, and what are the operating limits?
The internal battery is not user-replaceable and must be handled only by an authorised technician. Do not operate the vacuum outside its specified depth or temperature limits, as this may cause damage and void the warranty.
