Lo-Chlor Tropiclear Pool Algaecide combines an organo copper complex with a quaternary ammonium compound to deliver a powerful curative treatment for severe and resistant algae conditions.

The formulation targets algae at a cellular level while also helping loosen stubborn growth and biofilm from pool surfaces, making it easier to brush away and filter out through normal filtration.

How to Use

  • Test and balance pool water before treatment.
  • Reduce pH to between 7.0 and 7.2 for best results.
  • Add the required dose evenly around the pool.
  • Brush affected areas thoroughly to assist algae removal.
  • Maintain normal filtration and clean or backwash the filter as required.
  • Do not superchlorinate for 48 hours before or after treatment.

  • Dosage: 2.5 litres treats 50,000 litres of pool water.

Important Usage & Compatibility Information

  • Suitable for use in pools with recognised sanitising systems, including chlorine and salt chlorinators.
  • Not recommended for use in pools fitted with ionisers or Nature2 systems.
  • Do not superchlorinate for 48 hours before or after using this product.
  • Regular brushing improves effectiveness, especially where algae has previously been present.
  • For severe algae infestations, use in conjunction with Lo-Chlor Black Spot 900 Algaecide where appropriate.
  • Foaming or a mild odour may occur during treatment and is a normal temporary effect.
  • In salt chlorinated pools, fine surface bubbles may appear due to a temporary reaction in the chlorinator cell. These bubbles are harmless and typically resolve within 5–7 days, or immediately when the chlorinator is switched off.
  • In some cases, combined chlorine levels may rise temporarily for 2–3 days. If this persists, Lo-Chlor Aqua-Boost may assist.
  • Always test phosphate levels after algae treatment and address if required.

This product is an algaecide and must be used alongside a registered pool sanitiser. Ensure normal sanitising levels are restored and water is balanced before swimming.
