A more luxurious way to swim
MagnaPool Premium Pool Minerals sit at the heart of the authentic MagnaPool experience — a pool created to feel more in harmony with nature, gentler on the body, and more rewarding to own.
This is not traditional pool salt in a different bag. MagnaPool is the original and trusted no salt (sodium-free) mineral pool, using a researched and patented blend of magnesium chloride and potassium chloride to create water that feels silky, looks brilliantly clear, and transforms the character of the swim.
For families wanting something gentler, for pool owners wanting something more refined, and for anyone who wants their pool to feel gentler and more restorative, MagnaPool Premium Pool Minerals help turn everyday swimming into something you genuinely look forward to.

MagnaPool Premium Pool Minerals are a scientifically balanced blend created to work in conjunction with the MagnaPool Hydroxinator and complete MagnaPool system. Together, they create the distinctive MagnaPool bathing environment — not an imitation of saltwater, but a true alternative to it.
Magnesium Chloride
30%
Potassium Chloride
70%
Magnesium contributes to the soft, silky feel MagnaPool is known for, while potassium complements the blend to create a stable mineral pool system that is completely free from added sodium. This is why MagnaPool feels different. It is not just about sanitising the water. It is about changing the entire character of the swim.

Why Pool Owners Love MagnaPool
Unequalled bathing comfort
MagnaPool Premium Pool Minerals help create water that feels smooth, conditioned, and luxurious. Swimmers often notice the difference immediately — especially in the way the water feels on skin and how much more pleasant it is on eyes and hair compared with more traditional pool setups.
A mineral-enriched swimming pool of exceptional clarity
Used as part of the complete MagnaPool system, these minerals support the bright, sparkling water MagnaPool is known for. The result is a pool with striking visual clarity and a cleaner, more inviting appearance.
Eco-friendly
MagnaPool helps support a more natural approach to pool care by reducing the need for many additional chemicals. When diluted correctly and where local regulations permit, backwash water may also be used for gardening or irrigation.
Climate Care Certified
MagnaPool Premium Pool Minerals are part of a system recognised for its more environmentally aware approach to pool ownership, combining performance with a gentler footprint.
The MagnaPool Experience
What makes MagnaPool memorable is not only what it does, but how it feels.
Pool owners speak about water that stays beautifully clear, skin that feels soft and conditioned, children enjoying greater comfort in the water, and hair that feels better after swimming.
That is why MagnaPool has such strong loyalty. People may be curious at first, even skeptical, but once they swim in it, the difference becomes obvious. It feels calmer, gentler, and more luxurious than a standard saltwater or chlorine pool — a pool experience people often say they do not want to leave behind.
MagnaPool Premium Pool Minerals are not just something you add to the water.
They are what give the water its character.
Important Usage & Compatibility Information
- For use as part of the MagnaPool system.
- MagnaPool minerals are not chemically equivalent to traditional pool salt, as magnesium chloride is hygroscopic and does not deliver salinity on a 1:1 basis like sodium salt. As a general guide, 7 bags of MagnaPool minerals is equivalent to 5 bags of salt.
- If granular chlorine is required, use Calcium Hypochlorite rather than Dichloroisocyanurate / Zodiac Pool Purifier.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can MagnaPool backwash water be used on gardens?
In some cases, yes. When diluted correctly at 5 parts water to 1 part backwash water, it may be used for irrigation or gardening, provided this is allowed under local environmental regulations.

Can I still use the minerals if they have clumped in the bag?
Yes. If the minerals have clumped due to moisture exposure, they are still suitable to use. They may simply take longer to dissolve.
Why is there white froth after adding the minerals?
This can happen during start-up as the minerals reach equilibrium in the water. It is usually temporary and often clears within a few hours or overnight with the pump running.
Why is there white residue at the waterline?
A light residue can sometimes appear during the dissolving process, especially if frothing occurs. It can usually be wiped away once the minerals have fully dissolved.
Why did the pool floor turn yellow after adding minerals?
This can happen when minerals settle in one place due to insufficient circulation. Run the pump for at least 8 hours after adding minerals and brush any settled material to help it disperse properly.
Why can’t I detect chlorine after adding MagnaPool minerals?
Testing can be difficult during this stage because significant activity is taking place in the water. Chlorine is still present and effective, but it is recommended to activate Boost mode on the Hydroxinator and monitor levels over the following days.
Are any products incompatible with MagnaPool?
Yes. Dichloroisocyanurate / Zodiac Pool Purifier should not be used with MagnaPool minerals. If granular chlorine is needed, use Calcium Hypochlorite instead.
