The Sonar Retro-Fit LED Pool Light is a surface-mount replacement light that makes existing pool lighting feel more flexible, polished and easy to control. It gives you bright white light for everyday swimming, rich colour for evening entertaining and warm-to-cool white adjustment for the look you want around the pool.
Using PAL’s Colour Touch Technology, the included remote gives you simple control over colour, brightness, speed and lighting modes. The colour wheel makes it easy to shift the atmosphere from practical pool lighting to vivid colour effects in just a few clicks.

Is this light suitable for every retro-fit pool light replacement?
Not every installation is the same. The Sonar Retro-Fit LED Pool Light suits selected surface-mount replacement applications, including models such as Autumn Solar Slim 180, Aqua-Quip QC Series, Filtrite PAR 56, Poolrite Trimlite, Spa Electrics SE3M, Stroud C150 / SM400, Swimworld and Waterco Lightstream. The existing mounting, cable, transformer and control setup should still be checked before purchase.
What pool types can this light be used with?
It is designed for suitable concrete, fibreglass and vinyl liner pool installations. Compatibility still depends on the existing light setup and installation requirements.
Does this light include everything needed for Wi-Fi / APP control?
No. The light includes remote control operation. Wi-Fi, smartphone and tablet control require the Sonar Wi-Fi Module, which is sold separately.
Can I use this light without the Wi-Fi module?
Yes. The included PAL Sonar remote can be used to control colour, brightness, speed and lighting modes without adding Wi-Fi control.
Does this pool light include a transformer?
No. A suitable low-voltage transformer is required and is sold separately. The correct transformer depends on the voltage setup and the number of lights being connected.
Which transformer should I use with this light?
Transformer selection depends on the voltage setup and the number of lights being connected. Available options include the 42-T50 Transformer 12V for 1 light, the 42-T22 Transformer 12V for 2 lights, and the 64-PCR-2T-65 Transformer 24V for up to 4 lights. A qualified installer should confirm the correct transformer before installation.
Can this light work with pool automation systems?
The Sonar system supports OEM colour cloning through compatible Hayward, Jandy, Pentair and Astral automation systems. The existing automation setup should be checked before purchase.
Can I control more than one lighting zone?
Yes. The Sonar system supports up to 8 independent lighting zones, allowing different pool or backyard lighting areas to be controlled separately when the system is set up for zone control.
Do I need an electrician to install this pool light?
