The thrust jet controls cleaner direction. The default position is at 3 o’clock.
To adjust:

• Loosen the square nut with a wrench, reposition the jet, and tighten again.
• Turn counter-clockwise to decrease flow and clockwise to increase it. (See manual Section 8 for more details.)

If below 28 RPM:

• Clean the in-line filter screen.
• Clear the skimmer, pump basket, and pool filter.
• Check for hose leaks and worn swivel joints.
• Make sure the flow arrow on the swivel points toward the cleaner.
• Remove the blue restrictor disk from the wall fitting.

If above 32 RPM:

• Replace the blue restrictor disk with a red one.
• Loosen the pressure relief valve until RPM is within target range.

Note! Only adjust the relief valve if a restrictor disk is installed.

If you suspect a problem with the back-up valve:

• Cycle Check: Hold it out of the water—it should turn on and off every ~3 minutes. If it stays on constantly or doesn’t activate, it may need replacement.
• Float Positioning: Ensure a hose float is placed directly behind the valve.
• Correct Orientation: The water jet outlet should face the Polaris cleaner—double-check it isn’t installed backward.
