Duck Deterrent for Swimming Pool Surfaces
Lo-Chlor No More Ducks is a specialised nuisance aid formulated to help deter ducks and other feathered visitors from swimming pool surfaces.
By reducing the surface tension of the water, the product creates conditions that ducks find uncomfortable, encouraging them to leave the pool without causing harm.
This targeted treatment supports cleaner pool water and surfaces while remaining compatible with most recognised sanitiser systems and pool finishes when used correctly.

Features & Benefits
- Helps deter ducks from swimming pools – reduces surface tension to discourage waterfowl from remaining in the pool.
- Not harmful to ducks or humans – works by altering surface conditions rather than causing injury.
- Supports cleaner pool water – helps reduce contamination associated with waterfowl activity.
- Compatible with most recognised sanitisers – suitable for use in standard pool systems when used as directed.
- Suitable for all pool finishes.
How It Works
No More Ducks contains a quaternary ammonium compound that temporarily alters the surface behaviour of pool water.
Unlike normal water, which readily sheds from a duck’s feathers, treated water does not behave in the same way. This change makes the pool surface uncomfortable for waterfowl and encourages them to leave.

How to Use
- Calculate the required dose based on pool volume.
- Ensure the pool is not in use during application.
- Add the product evenly over as wide an area of the pool surface as possible.
- Repeat application monthly if required and only when ducks are present.
- Use caution when ducklings are present.
Dosage & Coverage
- Standard dose: 5L treats 50,000 litres of pool water.
Important Usage & Compatibility Information
- Product may smell and foam temporarily after dosing — this is normal.
- Do not use with hydrogen peroxide or polyhexamethylene biguanide (PHMB) sanitising systems.
- Do not apply in conjunction with algaecides or other products containing benzalkonium chloride or alcohol ethoxylates.
- Do not add to pool water within 48 hours of superchlorination.
This product is not a sanitiser. Ensure a registered sanitiser is used and normal water balance is restored before the pool is used for bathing.
In pools operating with salt chlorinators, temporary fine surface bubbles may occur due to interaction with ammonia-based compounds. This effect is harmless and typically dissipates within several days or when the chlorinator is switched off.
This product is classified as Dangerous Goods. Handle with care, avoid contact with skin and eyes, and keep out of reach of children.
