You can also steer it via the app. If it catches at the pool’s built-in skimmer, place the included foam noodle at the skimmer mouth and reduce that suction while the S2 is running. Avoid running other cleaners at the same time.

It keeps backing up or isn’t avoiding obstacles
Clean the sensor lenses (fog, water spots, or fingerprints can cause reverse-only behaviour). Power cycle if needed and check the app for any notices.
It’s spinning in circles
Inspect and clear the propeller/impeller for debris (often flagged by a flashing alert in the app). Clean the optical lenses, then retry.
Cleaning performance has dropped
Empty the 4 L basket and rinse the 150 µm filter—clogs reduce suction. If the LED turns off during use, allow solar top-up or recharge by adapter.
