Raise Low pH Without Increasing Alkalinity
SpaCare pH Up is formulated to raise low pH in spa and hot tub water without increasing alkalinity.
Keeping pH in the recommended range helps promote bather comfort, supports optimum chemical efficiency, and helps protect spa and hot tub equipment as part of balanced water care.
Fast dissolving and fast acting, SpaCare pH Up is designed for straightforward correction when testing shows pH is too low.

Help Restore Balanced, Comfortable Spa Water
Raises Low pH
Helps bring spa and hot tub water back into the ideal pH range of 7.2 to 7.6.
Does Not Increase Alkalinity
Raises pH without affecting alkalinity levels, making pH correction more targeted.
Promotes Bather Comfort
Balanced pH helps create a more comfortable spa and hot tub experience.
Fast Dissolving, Fast Acting
Dissolves quickly for responsive pH adjustment when readings are below range.
Won’t Cloud Spa Water
Formulated for clear, clean treatment without clouding the spa water.
Supports Chemical Efficiency
Keeping pH in range helps improve the efficiency of spa oxidiser and overall water treatment.
How It Works
When pH in spa water drops below the ideal range, the water moves out of balance and becomes less suitable for comfortable, efficient day-to-day spa care.
SpaCare pH Up adds sodium carbonate to the water to raise pH back toward the ideal range of 7.2 to 7.6, without increasing alkalinity. This allows pH to be corrected more directly while maintaining overall water balance.

How to Use
- Test the pH of the spa or hot tub water.
- Determine the amount required based on your spa volume and current pH reading.
- Pre-dissolve the required amount in a clean plastic container of clean warm water.
- Stir well until the product is fully dissolved.
- Carefully add the solution to the spa or hot tub with the pump turned on, preferably near the water inlets.
- After a minimum of 6 hours, recheck the pH level.
- Repeat the treatment if necessary until the desired pH is obtained.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why would I use pH Up instead of Alkalinity & pH Increaser?
Use pH Up when the pH is low but you do not want to increase alkalinity. It is formulated to raise pH without affecting alkalinity levels.
What is the ideal pH range for a spa or hot tub?
The recommended pH range is 7.2 to 7.6. This range helps promote bather comfort, optimum chemical efficiency, and protection of spa or hot tub equipment.
Why do I need to wait before testing again?
The product needs time to circulate fully through the spa water before the reading will reflect the treatment properly. Rechecking too soon can make it harder to judge the correct next adjustment.
What if the pH is still low after one treatment?
A number of treatments may be required. After allowing at least 6 hours for circulation, test again and repeat with a measured dose if needed.
Why is low pH a problem in a spa or hot tub?
When pH is below range, spa water is no longer in its ideal balance window. Keeping pH within the recommended range helps support comfort, chemical efficiency, and ongoing care of spa equipment.
Will pH Up cloud the spa water?
No. The product is formulated not to cloud spa water when used as directed.
Does pH Up help spa sanitiser work better?
Yes. Keeping pH in the ideal range helps improve the efficiency of spa oxidiser and overall water treatment.
