Applied directly over affected areas, it provides concentrated treatment where normal chlorine levels may not be enough to control established black spot growth.

How It Works
Black spot algae can anchor into porous pool surfaces and develop a protective membrane that reduces the effectiveness of normal chlorine levels. Thorough brushing helps disturb this outer layer and expose the algae beneath.
The slow-dissolving trichlor granules then release concentrated chlorine directly over the affected area. The extended contact time helps the treatment reach firmly attached black spot growth more effectively.
How to Use
- Confirm that the pool is pebblecrete, white plaster or tiled before treatment.
- Test the pool water and adjust pH to 7.2–7.6.
- Brush the affected areas thoroughly to expose the black spot growth.
- Turn the filtration system off to reduce water movement.
- Apply the product directly onto the affected areas according to the bottle directions.
- After treatment, brush the surfaces again, vacuum the loosened residue and restart filtration.
Important Usage Information
- Do not use on vinyl liners, fibreglass, coloured oxide surfaces, coloured grout or dark-coloured finishes, as bleaching may occur.
- Do not mix with other pool chemicals. Keep away from acids, combustible materials and organic products.
- Seek professional advice where black spot is widespread or repeated treatment may be required.
Maintain free chlorine at 2–4ppm and pH at 7.2–7.6. Keep Total Alkalinity at 80–120ppm for fully tiled, pebble and plaster pools.
