Frequently Asked Questions:
Is it suitable for swim spas?
The official documentation focuses on compact spas. However, many of our customers with swim spas report strong results across floors, seating, and the waterline. You can buy with confidence thanks to our 30-day satisfaction guarantee – return it for a full refund, even if used.
What does one cycle clean, and how long does it run?
One 60-minute cycle targets the floor, seats, and walls, then the unit floats to the surface for easy pickup (Float Finish).
How do I start a clean correctly?
- Slide the On/Off switch to power on (wheels/brushes twitch once). Submerge the cleaner – it won’t start until it senses water.
- Hold it under water and gently wave to release trapped air; when bubbles stop, release to begin.
- If not placed in water within ~90 seconds, it will power off automatically.
How long does charging take, and any charging tips?
- Full charge takes about 4 hours; charge indoors in a dry, ventilated area (5–40 °C).
- Use only the supplied charger; GFCI-protected outlet recommended. Unplug when fully charged to help battery life.
- Ensure the charge port is dry before connecting the plug.
Operating limits (temperature & depth)
Water temperature: 5–40 °C; operating depth: 25 cm to 1.6 m.
Do I need to clean the filter canister after each use?
Yes. Rinsing the filter canister after every cycle helps maintain strong suction and prevents debris from hardening and clogging the system. It’s a simple step that protects performance and extends the life of your cleaner.
Pro Tip: For a deeper clean, use mild soap and a soft brush — or better yet,
use the Robotic Filter Cleaner Spray to break down oils and fine debris and maintain peak performance.
Everyday storage & long-term care
- Store dry, indoors, 5–40 °C; never in direct sun; don’t leave the cleaner in the water when not in use.
- For winter/long breaks: drain water, and recharge at least every 6 months during storage.
It won’t dive or move – what should I check?
- Release trapped air under water (tilt/shake).
- Empty/clean the canister with soapy water; ensure the pivoting float arm moves freely.
- Manually rotate wheels to clear any blockage.
It doesn’t climb walls or it misses areas – how to improve coverage?
- Clean the filter; turn off spa pump/jets during cleaning; correct any water-chemistry imbalance.
- Note: some spa designs have areas no robot can reach.
Please Note: SpaBot is not suitable for swimming pools. It is suitable for most spa/jacuzzi/hot tub surfaces and shapes — except spas with intricate seating and footwell designs and/or 90° floor/wall transitions. It is normal for SpaBot to float to the surface from time to time during a cleaning cycle and dive back in again. Turn off the spa pump and jets while using the cleaner.
