Zodiac Sparkle Clarifier Tablet helps restore clarity and sparkle to pool water by improving the filtration of fine suspended particles.

Its alumina salts bring tiny particles together into larger groups that are easier for a media filter to capture and remove, while the ready-to-use tablet provides a clean, convenient alternative to measuring liquid clarifier.

How to Use

Test the pool water and adjust pH to 7.2–7.6.
Backwash the media filter before treatment.
Select the required number of tablets for the pool volume.
Place the tablet in the skimmer basket. A skimmer sock may be used to reduce direct contact with the skimmer.
Run the filtration system normally while the tablet dissolves.

Dosage & Coverage

Pools up to 50,000 litres: Use 1 tablet.
Pools from 80,000–100,000 litres: Use 2 tablets.

Important Usage Information

Recommended for pools with sand or glass-media filtration.
Do not use with cartridge filters, as pressed alum may clog the fine pores of the cartridge element.
Use this product for mild to moderate cloudiness or regular clarity maintenance. Treat active algae, poor sanitiser levels and unbalanced water separately.
Do not mix directly with other pool chemicals. Add each product separately.

Maintain free chlorine at 2–4ppm and pH at 7.2–7.6. Keep Total Alkalinity at 80–120ppm for fully tiled, pebble and plaster pools, or 125–150ppm for vinyl and fibreglass pools.

Can Sparkle Clarifier Tablet be used with a cartridge filter?

No. The tablet is made from pressed alum, which may clog the fine pores of cartridge elements. It is recommended for pools with sand or glass-media filtration.

Why should the media filter be backwashed before treatment?

A clean media filter has more capacity to collect the fine particles brought together by the clarifier. Backwashing before treatment helps the filtration system work more efficiently.

Why can the tablet be placed inside a skimmer sock?

A skimmer sock keeps the tablet contained while it dissolves and reduces direct contact with the skimmer basket and surrounding components.

Can Sparkle Clarifier Tablet be used after algae treatment?

Yes. Once the algae has been controlled, the tablet can help the media filter collect fine dead material that remains suspended and leaves the water looking cloudy.

What is the difference between a clarifier and a flocculant?

A clarifier groups fine particles so the pool filter can capture them while normal circulation continues. A flocculant forms heavier clumps that settle onto the pool floor and must then be vacuumed to waste.
