Smart Chlorination, Reliable Everyday Care
Keep pool care simple with a robust salt & mineral chlorinator built for everyday Australian backyards. The reverse-polarity, self-cleaning titanium cell minimises maintenance, and the programmable timer with battery backup keeps your schedule on track automatically. At-a-glance status lights confirm salt and flow.
Right-sized for larger pools, the CLS+35 delivers a steady 35 g/hr of output – suited to pools up to 115,000 L in mild/cool climates (adjust down for warmer regions; see Sizing). An isolation-transformer power pack and weather-shielded enclosure provide quiet, dependable operation outdoors, and BOOST adds extra output on busy swim days.

Designed for easy upgrades, it’s a straightforward retrofit for AstralPool E/VX/V/eQ/Halo* setups and works across all common pool surfaces.
Why Choose the AquaSolis CLS+ Chlorinator?
Lower Maintenance, More Swim Time
Reverse-polarity self-cleaning titanium cell with an adjustable reversing cycle (set for local water hardness) minimises scale and manual cleans, while smart high-salt regulation helps cut waste heat and energy use.
Battery-Backed Scheduling You Can Trust
Program single or dual daily cycles and forget it—the timer holds your schedule through power cuts, with simple AUTO/ON/OFF control and BOOST on demand when you need a quick recovery.
Clear, Comfortable Water
Consistent chlorine delivery sized to your pool for year-round clarity. Works with mineral blends, and Low Salt (LS) models run at reduced salinity for a softer, gentler feel.
Easy Setup & Everyday Control
Retrofit-friendly for AstralPool E/VX/V/eQ/Halo* with a quick-connect cell, intuitive output control, and clear status LEDs for salt and flow.
Built for Australian Conditions, Backed Locally
Weather-shielded power pack with UV-stable, corrosion-resistant components stands up to sun, salt air, and summer heat.
Design & Functions Highlights:

- Digital Timer: Set daily cycles (AUTO/ON/OFF) with battery backup so schedules stay on track. Need extra sanitising after a busy swim day? Hit BOOST for a timed high-output run.
- Cell Switch & Polarity Change: Simple On/Off for the electrolytic cell. Toggle Off → On to reverse direction (polarity) when needed—handy for service checks and maintaining self-cleaning performance.
- Circuit Breaker: Resettable protection for the cell circuit to help guard against overloads.
- Pump Outlet / AC Socket: Plug the filter pump into the power pack so filtration and chlorination run in sync–tidy, set-and-forget scheduling.
- Cell Electrode: Premium titanium plates with reverse-polarity self-cleaning for efficient production and reduced scale build-up. Compatible with salt or mineral blends.
- Chlorine Output LEDs: At-a-glance production bar with 10 steps (each ≈10%) so you can check output quickly.
- Output Control (+/–): Fine-tune chlorine output up or down in small, precise steps–dial in exactly what your pool needs.
- Status Indicator LEDs: Clear, colour-coded alerts for salt level, water flow, internal temperature, plus a forward/reverse indicator for cell direction.
- Flow Switch (if installed): Automatically pauses chlorine production when flow is insufficient–protects the cell and helps prevent gas build-up. Restarts once normal circulation returns.

Easy Installation & Maintenance
- Simple Setup: Install the cell on the return line after the filter/heater/solar/heat pump. Horizontal mounting is recommended (creates a natural gas trap); fits 40 mm or 50 mm PVC using the supplied 50/40 reducers.

- Low Maintenance: Reverse-polarity self-cleaning keeps scale down; occasional cell inspection/cleaning is all that’s usually required (follow acid-cleaning safety in the manual).
- Water Chemistry Matters: Run the chlorinator in properly balanced water (per Langelier index). Keep salt in range for your model to optimise performance and energy use.

Important: Add salt to the shallow end and allow it to dissolve—never into the skimmer. For mineral salts, allow ~20–30% more product to reach target TDS.
- Seasonal Tips: In summer, a typical schedule is ~4 hrs morning + 4 hrs evening; in winter, reduce run time by up to 50% based on chlorine readings. BOOST is available for short, high-output recovery.

Frequently Asked Questions

-
Solid Orange — low salt
-
Blinking Orange — high salt
-
Solid Red — internal over-temperature
-
Blinking Red — low/no flow

Flow light blinking – what should I check?
Confirm the pump is running, remove air locks, backwash/clean filters, and empty skimmer/pump baskets. Check cell plug/contacts. You can press + or – to prompt a restart once flow returns.
Why is chlorine output lower in cold water?
Cold water reduces output naturally; as a guide, for each 1°C below 28°C, output can drop by ~2–3%.
How long should I run the system?
Typical schedules: summer ~4 hrs morning + 4 hrs evening; winter ~2–3 hrs morning + 2–3 hrs evening (adjust to your test results).
How do I use BOOST?
Use the LCD timer’s BOOST mode (via MODE) for an adjustable timed boost, or activate “Chlor Boost” by holding + and – together (adjustable duration). Cancel by pressing MODE (timer BOOST) or holding +/– again (Chlor Boost).
Can I change how often the cell reverses?
Yes. The unit changes direction automatically (factory ~7 hours) and can be adjusted between 4–10 hours to suit local water hardness.
How do I clean the cell safely?
Switch to OFF, remove the electrode, and use Salt Chlorinator Cell Cleaner or a 1:10 acid-to-water mix (always add acid to water). Rinse, refit with a greased O-ring, and hand-tighten. Wear eye/hand protection.
Do I need to plug the pump into the power pack?
Yes. Use the power pack’s pump outlet so chlorination only runs with flow. If you don’t, install a suitable flow-safety control to prevent gas build-up.
Any salt-handling tips?
Add salt to the shallow end and brush to dissolve; never add directly to the skimmer. Keep within the target range for your model for best performance.
Does the timer battery need servicing?
The LCD timer uses a CR2032 coin cell. Replacement must be done by a licensed electrician or approved specialist.
