Frequently Asked Questions
Which pools can the AquaSense 2 Ultra clean?
It suits most residential above-ground and in-ground pools including concrete, fibreglass, pebble, tiled and vinyl finishes. It can clean pools up to 360 m² in a single cycle.
Can it be used in saltwater pools?
Yes. The cleaner is suitable for saltwater pools with salt levels up to 5000 ppm, which covers the majority of domestic Australian pools.
Can it clean steps, ledges and multi-level areas?
Yes. It detects raised platforms, large steps and shallow ledges when the water depth is within operating range. Narrow steps or areas with very shallow water may not be suitable.
Why does it take a few minutes to start cleaning after entering the pool?
When first placed in the water, the robot releases air from its buoyancy chamber. This process can take around 3 minutes before cleaning begins.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 10 hours of surface cleaning and up to 5 hours of floor, wall and waterline cleaning depending on mode and pool conditions.
How long does it take to charge?
A full recharge takes approximately 4.5 hours using the wireless charging dock.
Why is the robot offline in the app?
Wi-Fi does not transmit underwater. The robot reconnects automatically once it returns to the surface. If the battery is empty, charge the unit and power it back on.
Why does the robot not move or move slowly?
The filter basket may be full, the robot may be stuck on a drain or obstacle, or the pool may contain heavy debris. Clean the filter, check for obstructions and allow the robot to self-extricate. Use the hook if needed.
Why can’t the robot be charged?
Ensure the robot is positioned correctly on the dock and the power adapter is connected. Check the charging pins for dirt or corrosion and clean if required.
Why is there noise before or after cleaning?
A brief noise is normal. The robot is draining water or preparing its internal systems before starting or after completing a cycle.
How do I install and use the clarifying agent kit?
Install the kit under the top cover, press and hold the Floor Mode button for about 3 seconds to activate dispensing, and press again for 3 seconds to deactivate it.
How do I connect the robot to the app?
Turn the robot on, hold the Power and Floor Mode buttons for around 3 seconds until the indicator flashes blue, then follow the steps in the Beatbot app to connect via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
How should the robot be stored long-term?
Drain internal water completely, keep the robot indoors in a cool, dry place, power it off and charge it to roughly 50% if storing for several months. Use the supplied dust cover for protection.
