-
Reduce Filter Maintenance
Captures debris before it reaches your pump and filter—reducing cleaning by up to 80% and extending the life of your pool equipment.

Booster pump operation keeps your skimmer free to remove surface contaminants. Meanwhile, TailSweep PRO scrubs tight corners, steps, and hard-to-reach areas for a healthier, clearer pool.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Cleaner Gets Stuck on Steps or Obstacles (Over 3 Minutes)
- Check the wheel speed — target is 30–36 RPM.
- Verify the back-up valve is cycling every ~3 minutes. Lift it from the water and check that the jet pulses on and off.
- Adjust the thrust jet direction (factory setting is 7 or 11 o’clock).
- Remove unnecessary pool hardware or install a Ladder Guard Kit (Part #W7230412).
Cleaner Is Sluggish or Not Moving
- Clean the in-line filter screen (inside the clear chamber near the wall fitting).
- Empty the SuperBag filter bag — especially if it’s full of fine debris like sand.
- Clean the skimmer basket, pump basket, and pool filter to ensure full water flow.
- Inspect hoses and swivels for leaks that could reduce water pressure.
- Check the wheel RPM — increase flow if below 30 RPM (see below).
Cleaner Races or Misses the Pool Bottom
- Check the wheel RPM — reduce flow if over 36 RPM.
- Verify the back-up valve is cycling properly.
Cleaner Doesn’t Back Up
- Lift the back-up valve from the pool to verify it's cycling on and off.
- Check the wheel RPM — aim for 30–36 RPM.
- Empty or replace the filter bag if full.
- Ensure the feed hose is floating — add or adjust hose floats as needed.
Cleaner Only Turns in One Direction
- Adjust the thrust jet for more balanced navigation.
- Make sure the feed hose is floating properly — check float placement and spacing.
Hose Becomes Tangled
- Check hose length and trim if it’s too long for the pool.
- Ensure hose swivels and connections rotate freely.
- Verify hose floats are spaced 30–90 cm apart, starting with one next to the feed hose connector.
- With the cleaner submerged, confirm all wheels are turning together.
Front End of Cleaner Lifts Constantly
- Check wheel RPM — if above 36, reduce flow.
- Angle the thrust jet downward to improve balance.
- Ensure the back-up valve is cycling.
- Check for water inside the cleaner float — it should be dry.
Sweep Hose Gets Sucked into Cleaner
- Check that the sweep hose scrubber is intact — replace if worn or missing.
- Adjust sweep hose pressure to a gentle sweeping motion.
- Reduce flow if RPM is above 36.
- Add a sweep hose weight (Part #W7230203) if necessary.
Cleaner Doesn't Cover Entire Pool
- Ensure the feed hose reaches within 15cm of the farthest pool point. Add or trim hose sections if needed.
- Adjust thrust jet angle to improve directional coverage.
Cleaner Runs in Circles on Its Side
- Check for water inside the cleaner float — if present, drain and reseal.
- Empty the filter bag — a heavy load can unbalance the cleaner.
- Ensure hose floats are spaced evenly.
- Verify the RPM is within range — reduce if above 36.
How Do I Adjust the Wheel RPM?
If below 30 RPM:
- Clean the in-line filter screen.
- Clean pump and skimmer baskets, and the pool filter.
- Check for leaks in hose and connections.
- Remove the restrictor disk from the wall fitting (UWF).
If above 36 RPM:
- Replace blue disk with a red restrictor disk in the UWF.
- If needed, open the pressure relief valve to lower flow.
Note: Only adjust the pressure relief valve if a restrictor disk is installed.
How Should I Store the Cleaner?
Do not store the cleaner in direct sunlight. For winter, remove from the pool, drain completely, clean and dry the unit, and store it indoors or in a shaded, dry area. Freeze damage is not covered under warranty.
How Do I Clean the In-Line Filter?
Pull the screen out of the in-line filter housing, rinse with water, and press it firmly back into place. Clean it regularly to maintain optimal performance.
How Often Should I Empty the Debris Bag?
Empty the SuperBag when it's half full—especially if you're collecting sand or fine debris. Dry bags are easier to empty. Many users rotate between two bags for convenience.
