How do I choose the best location?

To keep a clear swim lane, position the SwimJet away from walls, benches, steps, and other features inside the pool.

At least 1.37 m from any adjacent wall or obstruction (inside the pool).
At least 2.44 m from any opposing wall or obstruction (inside the pool).

Recommended clear "swimming envelope": 2.44 m wide × 4.57 m long × 0.91 m deep.

Will it fit my pool?

Yes. A practical minimum is 4.2 m wide × 2.1 m long × 1 m deep, and many swimmers prefer a little extra length for comfort. It suits new or existing pools in concrete, fibreglass, or vinyl.

Can I add it to an existing pool?

Yes. The BADU Stream II can be incorporated into new builds or retrofitted later by licensed professionals.

How should I aim and adjust the jets?

For general lap swimming, aim the two nozzles slightly inward and upward so the streams meet about 1.2 m in front of the unit and just break the surface. Turn the nozzle clockwise to reduce flow; use the air regulator to add or reduce bubbles.

Where should the unit sit relative to the waterline?

For best performance, set the jet centre about 250 mm below the waterline. Mount the air regulator above water level.

How far can the pumps be from the jets, and what pipe size should I use?

Keep runs short where possible. As a guide: use 80 mm pipe up to about 6 m; 100 mm from 6–15 m; beyond that, consult your supplier/installer. Place the pump as close as local codes allow.

What are the electrical requirements?

Each 4.0 HP pump is single-phase 240 V and typically draws about 11.8 A. Plan two dedicated 15 A circuits (one per pump) and use a licensed electrician per local codes. The pneumatic air button operates reliably up to ~15 m.

Can the pump be installed below water level?

Yes. For flooded-suction installations, a flooded-suction pump variant is recommended; isolation valves are also recommended for maintenance.

How do I reduce bubbles when swimming into the flow?

Close the air regulator for clear-water laps. Open it to add aeration for play or massage.

Can I attach a massage hose?

Yes. A pulsating massage hose accessory can be fitted to a nozzle for hydro-massage. Follow the manual’s guidance and your physician’s advice for therapeutic use.

Should the SwimJet be plumbed into the pool filter system?

No. The SwimJet system should run on its own dedicated plumbing, separate from the filtration system.

How do I winterise the system?

Drain the pumps and store them dry and protected. Lower the pool water below the jet faces, blow out the lines, and fit the available winter covers before refilling to normal level.

Any safety guidance?

Always supervise children. Exercise within your limits and consult a physician before beginning a program or using massage accessories. Do not operate the unit if a safety cover is missing or damaged.
