Easy Installation & Maintenance
- Simple Setup: Installs horizontally with correct flow orientation (cell inlet near the electrical lead). Fits 40mm or 50mm PVC pipes.

- Low Maintenance: Automatic self-cleaning reduces calcium build-up. For periodic manual cleaning, use Salt Chlorinator Cell Cleaner or a safe 1:10 hydrochloric acid solution. Refer to the user manual for full instructions.
- Water Chemistry Matters: Maintaining proper chemical balance is essential to protect the chlorinator cell and maintain warranty coverage.

- Winterising Tips: In colder months (<18°C), reduce chlorinator output and use the Zodiac Winteriser Pool Pack to prevent algae, clarify water, and protect the cell. For passive winterising, power down and fully drain the system.

Frequently Asked Questions:
How do I know if my Wi-Fi signal is strong enough for installation?
Use a free Wi-Fi signal strength app on your smartphone. Stand exactly where the chlorinator will be installed and check for stable signal quality. If the signal is weak, consider installing a Wi-Fi extender near the equipment area.
Can I use mobile data (3G/4G/5G) to control the chlorinator?
Yes. Once your eXO iQ is connected to your home Wi-Fi, the iAquaLink app will work whether your phone is connected via Wi-Fi or mobile data.
What should I do if pairing fails or takes too long?
Double-check the Wi-Fi password and press the pairing button again. If the connection still fails, restart both the chlorinator and your Wi-Fi router. You can also install a Wi-Fi repeater to improve signal strength. For assistance, contact our support team.
What if I change Internet providers or replace my modem?
If your Wi-Fi name or password changes, you’ll need to re-pair your chlorinator with the new network. Follow the same steps as the initial setup in the manual or app.
Why is my chlorinator displaying a "No Flow" error?
This warning appears when insufficient water flow is detected. Check that the pump is running, clean your filter and skimmer, and ensure bypass valves are open. After resolving the issue, hold the OK button for 4 seconds to clear the message.
What does the "Check Output" warning mean?
This typically indicates a loose connection or worn-out cell. Turn off the power, check all wires and the cell plug, and clean the cell if it’s calcified. If the error persists, the cell may need replacement.
Why am I seeing a "Low Conductivity" message?
It usually means salt levels are below 4000 ppm or the cell is calcified. Use a test strip or bring a sample to your local pool shop. Add salt if needed and clean the cell to restore proper conductivity.
Can the eXO iQ be upgraded later with pH or ORP control?
Yes. The base eXO iQ unit can be upgraded with pH Link or Dual Link (pH + ORP) modules. These allow the system to automatically monitor and dose acid and chlorine as needed.
Why is "Overheat" showing on the screen?
This message means the internal temperature of the control unit has exceeded 85–90°C. To protect internal components, output is reduced or paused until the unit cools.
Solution: If the unit is installed outdoors, provide shade or relocate it out of direct sunlight. Chlorination will resume automatically when temperatures drop below 78°C. No manual action is required unless the issue persists repeatedly.
Why does it say "Low Water Temp" and stop chlorinating?
Chlorination is paused when the water temperature drops below 10°C. This protects the cell from unnecessary wear in cold conditions.
Solution: Chlorination will automatically resume in Low Mode between 10–15°C, and at full output above 15°C. No action is needed unless the sensor is faulty.
No chlorine is being produced, but there’s no error message. Why?
This may happen during a reverse cycle (self-cleaning), when chlorination is paused, or if the output setting is low.
Solution: Wait a few minutes and observe the unit. If still uncertain, increase output to 100% temporarily and watch for bubble production in the cell. If no activity is visible after several minutes, check the cell connection or contact our service team.
