Delivers crystal-clear pool water with minimal effort.
Engineered for 16/30 grade sand (0.6mm–1.2mm, 185 kg) or a mix of fine (0.75mm–1.7mm, 105 kg) and coarse (1.7mm–3mm, 60 kg) recycled glass media (not included), it traps fine debris and organic matter, curbing algae and bacteria growth.
Its one-piece, high-density polymer tank eliminates leaks and endures 400 kPa—1.5 times the pressure of standard filters.
The 50mm multiport valve streamlines backwashing, rinsing, and other functions, saving water and chemicals.
With an advanced underdrain matrix, the Mi 350 ensures uniform flow at 350 lpm, boosting efficiency and cutting pump energy costs.
Part of a versatile Mi series, it’s perfect for residential pools up to 70,000 L.

How It Works
The INSNRG Mi 350 filters pool water using 185 kg of 16/30 grade sand or 105 kg fine and 60 kg coarse glass media (not included). Pool water, laden with dirt, is pumped through the 50mm multiport valve and distributed over the media bed, where debris is trapped. Clean water flows through the underdrain, back through the valve, and returns to the pool. This continuous process removes dust, dirt, and organic matter. When the pressure gauge shows a 20 kPa rise above clean, backwash to clear the media. The multiport valve offers six settings:
- 1 - Filter: Normal mode, traps debris in media bed.
- 2 - Backwash: Reverses flow to flush debris to waste.
- 3 - Rinse: Settles media after backwash, clearing residual dirt to waste.
- 4 - Waste: Bypasses filter to drain excess water.
- 5 - Recirculate: Circulates water without filtering, ideal for chemical distribution.
- 6 - Closed: Halts flow for maintenance.
Pool Chemistry Guidelines
For optimal performance of your pool equipment, maintaining water chemistry at ideal swimming levels is key. These levels may vary by location, so we strongly advise consulting a local pool professional to ensure your pool is properly set up. The chart below offers guidelines for major water chemistry areas to enhance performance and extend equipment lifespan. Deviating from these recommended ranges may harm your equipment and its effectiveness.
Important Pool Chemistry Levels |

pH |
7.2 to 7.6 |
Total Alkalinity |
100 to 130 ppm |
Total Chlorine |
1.0 to 3.0 ppm |
Stabiliser (Cyanuric Acid) |
20 to 30 ppm |
Salt / Mineral |

Frequently Asked Questions:
How often should I backwash the Mi 350?
Backwash when pressure rises 20 kPa above clean, typically every 4–6 weeks, depending on pool use and debris. If using the Insnrg inTouch Automation App, the Service Menu will guide you through the process.
What media does the Mi 350 require?
Needs 185 kg of 16/30 grade sand (0.6mm–1.2mm) or 105 kg fine (0.75mm–1.7mm) and 60 kg coarse (1.7mm–3mm) glass media. Media not included.
How long does the filter media last?
Sand lasts 3–7 years, glass 7–15 years with proper care. Replace if filtration weakens or after heavy debris loads.
Is the Mi 350 suitable for my pool?
Perfect for pools up to 70,000 L, filtering 20–40 microns for clean, safe swimming.
What’s covered by the warranty?
10-year limited warranty on the tank, 1-year on the multiport valve. Refer to the manual or contact us for details.
How often should I test my pool water chemistry?
Test weekly during pool use, and monthly in winter if the pool is not in use.
Do I lose media when backwashing?
You may see some media discharged after backwashing, which is normal. Persistent leakage during filtration may indicate a lateral breakage—contact a professional if this occurs. Don’t confuse dust with filter media.
Can I run the Mi 350 without sand?
Yes, you can use glass media instead of sand. Glass often captures finer debris and requires less water during backwashing, saving time and resources.
How often should I rinse the Mi 350 after backwashing?
Rinse after every backwash to settle the media and clear residual dirt, typically taking 30–60 seconds. Perform a full backwash and rinse cycle when pressure rises 20 kPa above clean, and a thorough chemical clean annually, ideally when closing your pool.
Why is maintaining pool water chemistry important for the Mi 350?
Proper water chemistry ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your Mi 350. Deviating from recommended levels, like pH 7.2–7.6 or Total Chlorine 1.0–3.0 ppm, can damage the filter and reduce its effectiveness.
Can I set up my pool chemistry myself, or do I need a professional?
While you can monitor levels like Total Alkalinity (100–130 ppm) yourself, ideal chemistry varies by location. We strongly advise consulting a local pool professional to set up your pool correctly.
What happens if my pool chemistry is outside the recommended ranges?
If levels like Stabiliser (20–30 ppm) or Salt/Mineral (max 5,000 ppm) fall outside the suggested ranges, it may harm your Mi 350’s performance, cause corrosion, or reduce filtration efficiency.
