How should I install the pump?

Place it in a dry, well-ventilated position with about 250 mm clearance behind the motor for access. Install horizontally, within about 3 m below or 1.5 m above water level. Keep pipe runs direct, support the lines near the pump, and use PVC fittings with properly sealed suction joints. A safety RCD (≤30 mA) is recommended.

How do I prime it for first start?

Remove the clear lid, fill the casing with water to the suction port, check the basket is seated and the O-ring is clean and in place, then refit the lid hand-tight. Open valves and switch on – the pump will prime and reach full flow shortly. If you see persistent bubbles, recheck suction seals and the lid O-ring seating.

How do I clean the strainer basket?

Turn power off, close valves, remove the clear lid, lift out the basket and empty it. Clear any debris from the chamber, reseat the basket in its guides, lightly lubricate the lid O-ring with silicone lube, refit the lid hand-tight, reopen valves, and run the pump to purge air.

Is it suitable for saltwater?

Yes. Magic Series pumps use corrosion-resistant materials and are a great fit for salt pools when installed and maintained correctly.

Any tips to keep performance strong?

Empty skimmer and pump baskets regularly, keep suction joints airtight, and follow your filter’s cleaning schedule. A quick weekly check around the equipment pad helps keep everything running smoothly.
