How the Iluka System Works
Iluka works as a connected sea-mineral spa system, with each product supporting a different part of the overall water experience.
Purify is the sanitising step, while Bliss adds the mineral support that helps create Iluka’s softer-feeling water. Seachange helps collect oils, body fats and fine suspended matter for filtration, while Brilliance supports water quality, surface care and Bio-Film protection. Elevate, Descend and Hardup help adjust key balance levels, and Klenz helps keep the cartridge filter clean with a no-soak spray-on formula.
The testing kit, water sample bottle, measuring cup and Iluka guide help support the setup process, so the system is easier to understand from the start.
How to Get Started
- Fill the spa, swim spa or hot tub with fresh water.
- Test the spa water using the included 3-in-1 test kit.
- Balance pH, Total Alkalinity and Calcium Hardness using Elevate, Descend or Hardup as needed.
- Add Iluka Purify to establish the correct sanitiser level.
- Add Bliss, Seachange and Brilliance as part of the Iluka start-up routine for mineral comfort, natural water cleansing and water quality support.
Important Kit Information
- Use each product only for its intended purpose and follow the directions on the individual product label.
- Do not overdose any product.
- Always add chemicals to water, never water to chemicals.
- If unsure which product to use, test the water first or seek professional advice.
Maintain pH between 7.2–7.6, Total Alkalinity between 125ppm–150ppm, and Calcium Hardness between 200–275ppm for concrete and tiled spas or hot tubs, or 175–225ppm for other surfaces.

No. Test the water first, then use the products that match the setup step or water condition. The adjusting aids are only used when test results show correction is needed.
Which products form the regular Iluka routine?
The regular routine is built around Purify, Bliss, Seachange, Brilliance and Klenz. Elevate, Descend and Hardup are used when water testing shows pH, Total Alkalinity or Calcium Hardness needs adjustment.
Does the kit include every Iluka product?
No. The Start-Up Kit includes the core products shown on the package. Specialist products such as Purge, Sudsaway and Eliminate are not included in the kit and can be purchased separately if needed.
